Antiquing Events

September, the beginning of Fall or as we Texans call it “more of summer”.  It’s back to school for the kiddos and a little free time for mom.

Why not gather some friends and head out for an antiquing adventure! Check the front page of AT for Antiques for Animals in Georgetown. September 20 and 21 are the dates. Who among us doesn’t like animals? This antiquing event is benefitting the Georgetown Animal Shelter and we know the shelters need all the income they can get. Pick up a great antique or collectible and help an animal in need at the same time, you are a hero!

Frisco Mercantile is having a parking lot sale on September 27th. Great bargains at this one! The very famous Antique Elegance Show is September 20 and 21 also. Check out their ad on page 3 of AT. Live in the Huntsville area? The Huntsville Antique Show has become one of the finest shows around. See page 32 for information. Needville is having their citywide garage sale with 80 to 100 locations for shopping, see page 33 for this one.

The granddaddy of them all is about to begin in Round Top Texas. Put on your walking shoes and go find your treasure. If you are a glass collector, you will be overwhelmed at the great selection at the Round Top Glass Show located at The Old Depot. Treasures abound and the savvy shopper wouldn’t miss it. Dealers don’t miss it so you shouldn’t either! The Old Depot features an abundance of great antiques and the unusual. It’s a great place to uncover a hidden treasure. La Bahia is a fun place to shop either among the beautiful trees or inside an historic turnverein. That alone is worth seeing. There are antiques and collectibles galore in a country setting.

There is also Canton, Fairfield Market Days, Leander Flea Market, Texas Pickers, North Dallas Toy Show (for the child in us or Christmas shopping), Fredericksburg Trade Days, and Lone Star Gallery Trade Days and many more exciting adventures in Antiquing Texas. You have to turn every page to not miss out on the fun. Remember that purchasing antiques is going green, recycling, repurposing and saving a piece of history, so go ANTIQUING!

Please tell them that Antiquing Texas sent you!
